Gateshead Investigates: Big Energy Savings Week in Gateshead For those of you who haven't yet heard, Big Energy Saving Week is just around the corner! If you're not sure what that means, don't worry, everything you need to know is right here. High energy bills are a big concern for households across the country and in the spirit of new year new you, it's the perfect time to make sure you and your bills are prepared for what the weather brings us. This year's campaign Big Energy Saving Week 'Check,Switch,Save' comprises of a partnership between Citizens Advice nationally, the Energy Savings Trust and the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy with the support of numerous organisations, charities and companies. BESW runs from 22nd to 28th January and is a national campaign to help people understand their usage cut their fuel bills and get the financial support they entitled too. Once again, Citizens Advice Gateshead is taking part in Big Energy Savings Week (BESW) for the second time as a Gold Partner. We have organised events in the local area throughout the week, such as Civic Centre, Gateshead Library, Birtley Hub, Blaydon Library and our own Davidson Building. Monday, Gateshead Civic Centre, 10am-2pm Tuesday, Birtley Hub, 10:30am-12:30pm Wednesday, Gateshead Civic Centre, 10am-2pm Thursday, Blaydon Library, 10:30-2pm Friday, Gateshead Library,10:30am-2pm If you would like more information, advice or help with anything energy related they can drop in and that for more complex energy issues we are able to arrange appointments with our Energy Champions.
