This article on Citizens Advice's new consumer detriment report is published in The Times today. The piece highlights that people spend an average of 22.5 hours a year - including six hours of work time - trying to clear up consumer problems. The report finds that telecoms is the worst performing industry, causing 27 million consumer problems last year.  Citizens Advice says tougher measures against companies who fail consumers could boost people's financial position. Chief Executive Gillian Guy said: "A fresh look at how businesses are failing consumers could mean people benefit more from changes to tax and wages."
